The trailer for Hugh Grant‘s new romantic comedy THE REWRITE has been released.
It seems like it has been a long time since we last saw Hugh Grant on the big screen – and now, he is back!
The British actor stars opposite Marisa Tomei in the film, which sees him playing a washed-up screenwriter who gets a job teaching at a local university.
Grant plays Keith Michaels, who won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 1998. Since then, he had divorced and gone broke. He begins teaching a screenwriting course at a small college on the East Coast and falls in love with a single mother, Holly (Tomei).
This isn’t the first collaboration between Grant and writer and director, Marc Lawrence as he also directed the actor in 2002’s TWO WEEKS NOTICE and 2007’s underrated MUSIC AND LYRICS.
Bella Heathcote, Allison Janney, JK Simmons and Chris Elliott also feature in the supporting cast.
THE REWRITEÂ is released in the UK on 8th October, 2014. A US release date has yet to be announced.
