James Gunn on London Live
The Guardians of the Galaxy director has no plans to direct a James Bond movie.

Hollywood director of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, James Gunn, has revealed that he does not feel he has the skills to direct the next James Bond movie.

In an exclusive interview with entertainment channel London Live, the director discussed his latest action-hero film GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which was shot in London.

Gunn not only directed the Marvel Studios adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy, but he also co-wrote it.  He caught up with Simon Thompson and talked all things Bond and what his plans would be for the sequel – don’t plan on visiting the Queen would be our advice!:

“I could ruin Buckingham Palace even without the movie. I’d just go there with a couple of my friends and bring some beers…”

The American is very use to doing the media rounds after promoting his movie all around the world and he was very laid back and some what completely disinterested in the idea of working on a James Bond movie:

“I would say no… I can only do things that I can do. I know my strengths and weaknesses.  I love James Bond movies. I’ve seen every single Bond movie since I’ve been a kid.. in the theatre.. like Moonraker…but it’s not strong suit.  I just don’t think that’d be that good at it. It’s not my thing.”

Catch the full interview with the director of the moment on tonight’s episode of London Go at 6.30pm.  You can watch it on Freeview 8, YouView 8, Sky 117 and Virgin 159
