Fans have flocked to social media to express their outrage, as a source informs Australian magazine NW that Jamie Dornan will not be reprising his role as dominant billionaire Christian Grey in the sequel to FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, from the popular book trilogy by E.L James.

Dornan’s wife Amelia Warner, whom he has an one-year-old daughter with, is believed to be the reason behind his change of heart. The source claims that she is not best pleased with the films sexual content; “Jamie said the movie would skyrocket his career. He tried to assure Amelia nothing would change but women all over the world now lust after Jamie. She hasn’t seen the film and I don’t think she will to be honest.”jamie-dornan-amelia-warner-london-premiere-fvrier-2015

The source further went on to explain how Dornan did not click with his co-star Dakota Johnson; “Jamie does not think his performance was bad – instead he blames Dakota and says it wasn’t possible to have chemistry with her. He says Dakota gave him nothing to work with.”

Dornan secured the role of Mr Grey after frontman Charlie Hunnan was forced to turn down the part due to scheduling difficulties. Hunnan recently opened up about his turmoil, referring to having had a ‘nervous breakdown’; “I just said, ‘I can’t, I can’t. Fifty’s going to be massive, it’s going to be huge. I really didn’t want to fail on such a grand scale and I just couldn’t transition from Jax Teller to Christian Grey in 48 hours. I bit off more than I could chew and it was painful. I loved the character and I wanted to do it. It was one of those damned if you do, damned if you don’t situations.”

Despite mixed reviews and having only been released on Valentine’s Day, FIFTY SHADES OF GREY has become the highest-grossing 18-rated film in UK box office history, grossing a whopping $400 million worldwide.

Dornan’s agent is yet to respond to the rumour. Watch this space!
