The Hollywood Reporter writes that actor and former MMA fighter Gina Carano has signed a deal to play Angel Dust in the upcoming DEADPOOL  ovie. It is currently unknown what role the character will play in the film.
In the comics, Angel Dust was a member of the Morlocks; a group of estranged mutants who lived beneath the streets of Chicago. She left home fearing rejection if her parents were to ever discover her mutant ability to increase her adrenaline levels to gain super strength. However, she returned home (supported by the Morlocks) to find her parents accepting of her ability but had to leave home once again to escape mutant-hunting Sentinels. Angel finally returned home in the wake of the Sentinels defeat.
TJ Miller of SILICON VALLEYÂ is also rumoured to have been cast in the movie in a comic relief role. Whilst, X-Man Colossus has been reported to be have a part to play, it unknown whether Daniel Cudmore will reprise the role.
After spending years in development hell DEADPOOL, directed by Tim Miller, is set to hit cinemas in February 2016.
