You’d think GAME OF THRONES couldn’t possibly get any worse after the dreaded Red Wedding, right? Well fans of the show will know all too well that it’s no use investing in any of the characters because no one is safe. I wish my head would tell my heart that..

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS/HEARTBREAK

FROM SEASON 5, EPISODE 10, “MOTHER’S MERCY”

After the death of Robb Stark I turned my attention to his dark and brooding half brother, Jon Snow. But my heart has been broken once more after fan-favourite Snow fell victim to the Stark curse in last night’s GAME OF THRONES season finale. Snow died at the hands of the Night’s Watch after Olly (aka Damien/The New Joffrey) tricked Snow into believing that they had found his Uncle. After deceitfully luring him outside, his men individually stabbed him before Olly delt the final fatal blow. I knew Sam should’ve stuck around.

Snow’s death will come as no surprise for readers of George RR Martin’s books as his shocking demise unfolds in the final chapter of the fifth novel, A Dance With Dragons. For those of you, like myself, who are holding on to that last shred of hope that Snow might make a miraculous recovery, you’re sadly mistaken. In an exclusive interview with the New York Daily News, Snow actor Kit Harington puts any hope to bed. “I’m quite dead. It’s over for Jon Snow — at the very least, he gets to join his family and kin and leave this terrible world behind.”  But could this be a red herring? There’s speculation over Snow’s final word in the book, leading many to share their fan theories on why Snow’s death just doesn’t add up.

Until Season 6, it looks like any chance of a reunion with Sansa is out the window (sorry, Bran).
