Fox

Fox has ordered four new pilots of TV shows that will either become the next big thing or quickly and quietly disappear, never to be seen again.

It’s happened before and now US network Fox is pushing ahead with a pilot for Emmy-nominated LUTHER and three other shows to air on their channel and they are quite the mixture…

Luther

LUTHER is an Americanization of the BBC original series. The series will follow Detective John Luther, who is both dedicated to his work obsessive in his fixations. Idris Elba (who portrayed Luther in the BBC series) is set to executive produce alongside series creator and writer Neil Cross. Considering the successful American adaptations of such series’ as LIFE ON MARS and THE INBETWEENERS, LUTHER will no doubt be brilliant. Oh wait….

Frankenstein

FRANKENSTEIN will follow Ray Pritchard a retired and morally corrupt police officer, who returns from the dead stronger and younger (complete with impossibly perfect sculpted physique). His journey will force him to choose between old temptations and a new sense of purpose. Rand Ravich and Howard Gordon will serve as executive producers.

Rosewood

ROSEWOOD is a police procedural following the adventures of top private pathologist and eternal optimist Dr Beaumont Rosewood and a cynical female detective. The pair will undoubtedly show their investigatory prowess, whilst being embroiled within various love triangles and will-they-won’t-they scenarios. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are attached to this project.

48 Hours ‘Til Monday

48 HOURS ‘TIL MONDAY will be a comedy documenting one husband’s quest not to completely waste his weekend. The pilot will be written by THE MINDY PROJECT’s Charlie Grandy.
