The first teaser trailer for SPOOKS: THE GREATER GOOD has finally arrived – and it’s an explosive one!

It was only yesterday that we brought you news of the first posters for the action thriller and now we get to see Kit Harington make his first appearance as former MI5 agent Will Crombie alongside Peter Firth‘s legendary Spooks character, Harry Pearce.

Harry, the Head of Counter-terrorism, needs Will’s help to clear his name after the charismatic terrorist Adam Qasim escapes from MI5 custody during a routine handover.

As Qasim prepares his devastating attack on the heart of MI5 in London, Will must decide whether to turn Harry in – or risk everything by trusting the damaged, dangerous master spy who has already betrayed him once before.

In the trailer, we see snippets of the explosive action as Kit can be seen breaking through a restaurant window and doing more running than he did when playing Jon Snow in GAME OF THRONES.

It is the first time we have seen the British actor in a contemporary role after his appearance as Jon Snow in GAME OF THRONES, a fallen war soldier in the film TESTAMENT OF YOUTH and as Milo in volcano movie POMPEII.

The popular TV series SPOOKS is making its big leap from a long-running BBC programme to a feature film adaptation.  The movie is written by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, with regular series director Bharat Nalluri on board once more to helm the feature length thriller.

Kit and Peter are supported by Jennifer Ehle (PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, ZERO DARK THIRTY), David Harewood (HOMELAND) and Tim McInnery (NOTTING HILL, BLACKADDER) in the spy film based on the BBC series.

If you miss seeing Harington flailing with his sword and looking all sullen, fear not, he will soon be returning to Westeros though as the new series of Game Of Thrones, which hits screens this April.

SPOOKS: THE GREATER GOOD arrives in UK cinemas from May 8th.
