Matthias Schoenaerts may be a busy man at the moment promoting current film, RED SPARROW, but he will soon be seen in another movie too.

Bac Films has released the first image of Matthias Schoenaerts and Reda Kateb in French director David Oelhoffen’s thriller CLOSE ENEMIES, a Paris-set contemporary crime thriller.

CLOSE ENEMIES reteams Oelhoffen with his producer on FAR FROM MEN Marc Du Pontavice at One World Films. CLOSE ENEMIES marks Oelhoffen’s third feature film after FAR FROM MEN and NOS RETROUVAILLES.

In the new movie, the pair play childhood friends Manuel and Driss, who hail from a tough suburb riddled by drug trafficking and whose lives have gone in radically different directions.

Manuel (Schoenaerts) has chosen a life of crime with one of the local gangs, while Driss (Kateb) joined the police. When Manuel’s biggest deal goes terribly wrong, the two men meet again and come to realize they both need each other to survive in their worlds.
