THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING star appears in first image for THE DANISH GIRL…
Fresh from his Oscar win for his portrayal as Stephen Hawking in James Marsh‘s THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, Eddie Redmayne‘s career is kicking off again with the first image for THE DANISH GIRL making its way online.Â
From director Tom Hooper (THE KINGS SPEECH, LES MISERABLES), THE DANISH GIRLÂ is inspired by the true story of Danish artists Einar Wegener and his wife, Gerda. When Gerda asked Einar to slip into a pair women’s shoes and stockings for a painting, their lives changed forever as Einar went on to undergo surgery to become Lile Elbe.Â
Redmayne takes centre stage with Alicia Vikander (EX MACHINA)Â playing the role of Gerda. With the two playing such a wonderful pair, this production is no doubt going to be definitely one to watch.Â
With Redmayne’s ever increasing talent, he’s sure to smash this sensitive, challenging role. Alongside him, the likes of Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and Adrian Schiller are set to star also, making this some very impressive casting.Â
