6 Days

We have been given our first look at the official stills from upcoming movie 6 DAYS starring Jamie Bell, Mark Strong and Abbie Cornish.

6 DAYS, an action thriller directed by Toa Fraser (The Dead Lands, Dean Spanley) and produced by Matthew Metcalfe (The Dead Lands, Beyond The Edge, Dean Spanley) has begun shooting in London after wrapping scenes in New Zealand this month.

6 DAYS is based on the actual events of April 1980 when six armed gunmen stormed the Iranian Embassy at London’s Princes Gate, taking 26 people hostage. Six days of tense stand-off ensued as a group of highly trained soldiers from Britain’s Special Air Service (SAS) prepared to raid the building.

Fraser, the man who is calling the shots, directs Jamie Bell as Rusty, a no-nonsense SAS officer who becomes crucial to the freeing of the hostages, particularly on the catastrophic final day of the stand-off. Mark Strong also stars, seemingly as one of Rusty’s higher-ups, alongside Abbie Cornish in an unspecified role; recent Ridley Scott favourite Emun Elliott also features in the film.

Little else has been revealed at the moment from the film with regards to the film’s narrative, but it certainly sounds as though it will be an intriguing affair. Mark Strong is known for his gritty performances, so he will no doubt prove to be a strong pulling power to the movie alongside the talented Jamie Bell.

The British actor will next star in the highly anticipated reboot of FANTASTIC FOUR, alongside Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan.

No release date confirmations have been made available at this stage just yet.
