Fifty Shades of Grey

Fans of the FIFTY SHADES franchise will be pleased to hear that filming for FIFTY SHADES DARKER has officially got under way as FIFTY SHADES OF GREY series author E L James took to Instagram to share an image of the production’s film slate. 

The FIFTY SHADES OF GREY franchise has started off well raking in $570 million worldwide. The first film’s director Sam Taylor-Johnson will not be returning to call the shots and neither will screenwriter Kelly Marcel who is not returning for the sequel. James Foley will be in the director’s chair for this one for FIFTY SHADES DARKER bringing to life a script penned by E L James’ husband, Niall Leonard.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are reprising their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively in FIFTY SHADES DARKER and the third film, FIFTY SHADES FREED. Expanding upon the events set in motion in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, the films will again aim to become the motion-picture events for Valentine’s Day 2017 and 2018. Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti, alongside E L James, also return to produce.

There will also be some new faces in the next FIFTY outing: Eric Johnson, Bella Heathcote, Arielle Kebbel and Kim Basinger. 

FIFTY SHADES DARKER filming will reportedly be shot back-to-back with the final instalment from the franchise, FIFTY SHADES FREED.
