Rashida Jones takes the lead in new E4 cop comedy, ANGIE TRIBECA. With cameos from the likes of Bill Murray and James Franco, the series follows “Lone-wolf detective Angie Tribeca and a squad of committed LAPD detectives investigate the most serious cases, from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.” Summarises TBS.
Written and produced by Steve and Nancy Carell, the duo spoke to Access Hollywood to discuss how the comedy was born. “Nancy and I like to make each other laugh in our spare time.” Said Steve. “But we weren’t pitching an idea. We were just making each other laugh with a name. And then we started building her hobbies and her world and who she is, and then we thought maybe we should just write some of this stuff down.”
