Corey-Taylor-has-been-roped-in-by-the-BBC-to-give-Doctor-Who-viewers-a-proper-fright-this-series

Slipknot who are famed for their frightening masks and rock music is not what you picture when you think of DOCTOR WHO, a British Saturday night family sci-fi show, but the BBC has released information that they have recruited frontman Corey Taylor to voice the deafening roar of Alien Warlord Fisher King, who will battle with Peter Capaldi‘s Doctor next Saturday.

It’s not the first bit of acting that Corey’s done either, the singer starred in horror movie FEAR CLINIC last year, a film about a doctor who tries to cure patients’ phobias using extreme methods.

Having heard that Taylor and the rest of the band love the show, The BBC got into contact with the band following the announcement of their Cardiff show in January, and sources said “They gave them a VIP tour and asked if Corey wanted to record his famous scream. He agreed instantly and was made up about it”.

Fisher King is played by 7ft 7in Neil Fingleton, the UK’s tallest man with a speaking voice provided by SHAUN OF THE DEAD‘s actor Peter Serafinowicz.

You can hear Corey’s roar as Fisher King in episode four of the current series, which is set to air on October 10th.
