In anticipation of THE DARK TOWER hitting the cinema screens, Sony Pictures has released the brand new extended sneak peek of ‘Legacy of the Gunslinger’ with stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey having their say on the movie too. Take a look at the footage in the video player above.
THE DARK TOWER is Stephen King’s fantastic story which is now coming to the big screen. The film stars stars Idris Elba as Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as Walter O’Dim (AKA Randall Flagg, The Man in Black, in the novels). The film has been helmed by Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair).
The film tells the story of the last Knight Warrior, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), who has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), who is determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.
Starring alongside Elba and McConaughey for this one is Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Neon Demon) as Tirana, and Fran Kranz(The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli, the right hand man of Randall Flagg. They are also sharing the screen with Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) and Claudia Kiim (Avengers: Age of Ultron).
