Former ONE TREE HILL star Chad Michael Murray has joined Marvel’s AGENT CARTER, and word has it, he is going to be a regular feature in the series.
Marvel announced on Friday that Murray has been cast in the major role of Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Jack Thompson, who meets Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) when she takes on a new role at the SSR in New York City.
Murray isn’t the only new face to be added to the cast, as it was also announced that DOLLHOUSE’s Enver Gjokaj has also signed on the dotted line to regularly appear in the show.
Gjokaj will play Agent Daniel Sousa, another suit that Agent Carter meets at the SSR.
Not familiar with the show? Well, AGENT CARTER follows the story of CAPTAIN AMERICA character Peggy Carter after the war ends in 1946. When all the men return from fighting abroad, the once-important and high-ranking Carter finds herself marginalised. Working for the covert SSR, she must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark, all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America after losing the love of her life—Captain America himself, Steve Rogers.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIERÂ screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are working on the series.
The fourth episode of the series will be directed by CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER’s Joe Johnston. Â Â
