Rush Hour

A remake, something new, and a remake.

Variety reports that CBS has greenlit the following comedy pilots:

RUSH HOUR – an adaptation of the film franchise which will keep the light hearted tone of the original, and will presumably follow the investigations of another stoic Hong Kong police officer and cocky local police officer (who aren’t Jackie Chan and Chris Rock) in Los Angeles. Original director Brett Ratner will return for the pilot along with producer Arthur Sarkissian, and writers Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick.

SUPER CLYDE – a remake (fine example of originality) of the 2013 production about a fast-food worker who uses inherited millions to become a superhero, following in the footsteps of Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark.

JOE TIME executive produced and written by Billy Wrubel will follow a family man frustrated that everyone seems to enjoy life more than he does. A premise which may or may not survive after the protagonist discovers ‘Ben and Jerry’s.’
