Netflix

Oh crumbs! Go Go Gadget Remake!

Netflix will air remakes of two much loved original 80s animated series:

Danger Mouse

First announced last year by the BBC the Danger Mouse remake will debut on CBBC later this year, and will be broadcast on Netflix in early 2016. Danger Mouse originally aired from 1981 to 1992 and followed the adventures of the titular protagonist; a super spy and his sidekick Penfold. The remake promises to retain the same classic catchphrases, characters (with some gender changes), and comedy which made the show a 1980s cult hit. Alexander Armstrong, Kevin Eldon, and Stephen Fry will lend their voices to the show. Netflix will premiere the show in North America, Latin America and Japan.

Inspector Gadget

The bumbling cyborg detective is set to return in a 26 episode CGI animated series. Inspector Gadget originally aired from 1983 to 1986 and remained in syndication until the late 90s. The series will focus on Inspector Gadget, his niece Penny, and dog Brain’s attempts to halt arch-foe Dr Claw’s reactivation of global crime syndicate MAD. Produced by DHX Media, Netflix will premiere the series exclusively in the US this March.
