The Walk

Sony Pictures has released the new extended trailer for upcoming movie THE WALK, the latest film from Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis (BACK TO THE FUTURE, FORREST GUMP) and it is breathtaking.

THE WALK tells the real-life story of Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his astounding August 7, 1974 high-wire walk between the two World Trade Center towers.

Many have now discovered, largely thanks to the film, that one man has only one ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan.

The screenplay has been penned by Zemeckis and Christopher Browne based on Petit’s book “To Reach the Clouds,” THE WALK co-stars James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Charlotte Le Bon, Clément Sibony and César Domboy.

THE WALK arrives in UK cinemas October 2nd, 2015.
