Hating being apart, the two Hollywood superstars kept their love alive with letters.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
The Hollywood stars always look so in love, writing love letters should have been no problem!

Awwwwwww! This just has to be one of the sweetest stories to soften up your Friday.  The very much in love Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have revealed to Australia’s TV Week magazine just how they manage to keep their relationship alive across countries, continents and time differences.

The 39-year-old actress admitted that the loved-up duo sent handwritten letters to each other while they were filming on opposite sides of the world.  What a lucky lady!

Pitt was separated from the human rights activist whilst she was directing UNBROKEN, a biopic about World War II hero Louis Zamperini, in Australia, whilst her 50-year-old partner was in London filming a much hyped movie about a tank crew fighting the Nazis.

Jolie discussed how supportive he was from a distance:

“We decided to be of that time, when we could imagine he was in the European theater and I was in the Pacific theater, and we wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us, thinking of the people that were separated for months, if not years, at a time back then.”

Jolie opened up about Zamperini before he died on July 2nd, aged 97, and told the magazine she was able to show hims rough cut of UNBROKEN:

“I brought him the film on my laptop in the hospital, and it was amazing seeing someone at the end of their life watching their life unfold again, at the same time their body was shutting down.  He wanted me to make the movie to show something hopeful about the strength of the human spirit that can pull us through. He reminded me to have my surgery in the year that I did, and he reminded me to appreciate every day of my life.”

The surgery which the beautiful actress is referring to is her preventive double mastectomy in 2013, while she was preparing to direct the film.

During that difficult time, the American was quick to share how supportive her fiancé was and it seems despite their time apart and other difficulties, the couple are stronger than ever before.

However, they won’t have to send love letters during their next project as they will reunite onscreen to star in By The Sea.  The Hollywood Reporter claims they will play husband and wife in the flick, which is set to be released sometime in 2016.

The movie, which is being written and directed by the Maleficent star, will be shot on location in Malta.

Fury opens on November 14th, while Unbroken is set to hit theatres on Christmas Day.
