Benedict Cumberbatch will be back on the TV screens soon. Not to play his infamous SHERLOCK HOLMES role, but playing a character who is not too dissimilar to the character.

The British actor is starring in a brand new TV series called PATRICK MELROSE, which will be appearing on Sky Atlantic and to tease us before its release, a brand new trailer has arrived, which you can watch in the video player at the top of the page.

As we see in the trailer, Cumberbatch plays a “narcissistic, schizoid, suicidal alcoholic” Patrick Melrose. The titular role is the protagonist of Edward St Aubyn’s Patrick Melrose novels, which have been adapted for TV in a Sky/Showtime collaboration.
