Just days after revealing her cancer prevention surgery, Angelina Jolie decided to have a little fun with her daughters Shiloh and Zahara by attending the 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards.
Looking beautiful as always and dressed in a simple black dress, the MALEFICENT actress hit the stage to accept the award for Best Villain.
The night was filled with shrieks, pies, and lots of sliming and Jolie brought exciting raucous screams with an empowering speech to children everywhere.
Once her name was announced, she hugged her happy daughters and took to the stage to accept her orange blimp trophy:
“I wanna say that when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different,” she shared. “Never good at fitting in, and then I realized something, something I hope you all realize — different is good.”
She quipped, “And as your villain, I would tell you to cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”
Jolie was also up for the favorite actress award, but she lost out to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2’s Emma Stone.
This is the 39-year-old actress’ first appearance since revealing she got her ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed in a cancer prevention surgery. Take a look at her radiant smile and fun speech below:
