Using theme of technology, universal dread and general human disaster, Charlie Brooker‘s brilliant BLACK MIRROR promised a new type of science fiction and it really delivered.Â
Brooker did such a good job of freaking his UK audience out so much that is seems America wants a piece of the action too and who could blame them?
According to Co-CEOs and co-chairmen of Endemol Shine North America Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin, “there is a plan” for BLACK MIRROR to head to the US.Â
Talking at a recent keynote session earlier this week, Abrego and Corwin mentioned that creator Charlie Brooker and producer Anabel Jones “have really touched on something and I agree – we need more.”
There’s no details as to whether the US series will be a word for word remake or if just the core aspect is worked on, but there is some skepticism from fans of the UK series.Â
Despite the worries, Charlie Brooker has always said that if there was to be a US version of the show, he’d like to be very much involved, which can only be a good thing, right?Â
If you haven’t seen the original series then you seriously have to, it’s a complete unique, revolutionary television experience and not to be missed!Â
