So it’s official Nicki Minaj’s new sitcom will be available on ABC Family as 30-minute episodes.
It remains still untitled for now, but the show will be based on her family’s move from Trinidad to New York in the early nineties where the show will visualise Nicki’s gradual rise to glorified fame.
After the huge success of Chris Rock, whose TV show EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, was based on his childhood, Nicki Minaj is now the executive producer of a show with the same ideology.
Kate Angelo, of Will and Grace is also down to collaborate and executive produce the series alongside the queen of Rap herself, who will also be making an apperance in the show either as a character or herself or any of her other alter egos.
So with the success of the Pink Print album under her belt earlier this year, it seems that Onika Tanya Maraj better known as Nicki Minaj is definitely expanding her horizons. the 32 year old is no longer just a rapper, singer-songwriter but is now also a actress & a executive producer as well. Not bad hey ?
Forget the VMAs, Nicki may as well be on her way to the Emmys. That’s definitely one way to show Miley Cyrus she’s not messing!
