Starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo FOXCATCHER tells the story of world champ wrestler Mark Schultz (Tatum) and his slightly unhinged, multimillionaire sponsor John du Pont (Carell). What’s so compelling about what we’ve seen from FOXCATCHER so far is Carell’s unbelievable transformation from well known funny man to shockingly disturbing character actor. Critics are already raving about both Carell and Tatum’s performances, promises career changing transformations from both of them not to mention Ruffalo’s stellar commitment.  7. INSIDE OUT– It’s about time we had another Pixar triumph and it looks like INSIDE OUT could be a perfect opportunity. When Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life, she struggles to fit into San Francisco living but she’s in luck, the emotions that run through her have a voice on their own and it’s their job to get her through! Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness are all there to lend a helping hand and that’s exactly what audiences will get a glimpse of. 8. IN THE HEART OF THE SEA– From the looks of things, this next film is going to be a spectacular mix of bubbling tension, fantastic performances and visual splendor and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Directed by Ron Howard, IN THE HEART OF THE SEA is based on the 1820 event, a whaling ship is preyed upon by a monstrous sperm whale, leaving them stranded at sea for 90 days. Starring the brilliant Chris Hemsworth as Owen Chase, the trailer promised a heart-in-your-throat production with the added visual terror of a demonic open ocean and a creature from hell.

Also starring Cillian Murphy, Ben Wishaw, Brendan Gleeson and Charlotte Riley, IN THE HEART OF THE SEA comes to theatres March 15th 2015.

9. CHAPPIE– There hasn’t been too much of a buzz around this next movie but the premise is seriously intriguing and we think it may just be one to watch for 2015. From the director of DISTRICT NINE, Neil Blomkamp, comes a story of a sweet, child-like robot who, after initially being stolen at birth, becomes part of a dysfunctional and unique family of humans. This looks like a novel take in the theories behind intelligent robotics, comparing raising Chappie to that of raising a human. The cast is impressive also with names like Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver and Dev Patel, we have a sneaky suspicion the world is going to fall in love with this sweet robot. Also starring Sharlto Copley and Miranda Frigon, CHAPPIE hits theatres June 3rd 2015.

10- A MOST VIOLENT YEAR– While there are many things about our final choice that makes this movie one to watch for 2015 but one HUGE reason has got to be its leading lady in the form of the effervescent Jessica Chastain. She is on fire right now and her performance in A MOST VIOLENT YEAR looks  nothing short of spectacular already!  Chastain stars as Anna Morals, wife to Abel Morals, played by Oscar Isaac. Set in New York 1981, the couple find themselves in hot water with some unsavory characters in what was one of the cities most violent year. Directed by J.C Chandor, A MOST VIOLENT YEAR looks set to be a thriller to remember, showcasing Chastain’s magnificent ability to adapt to almost any character.
